lyrics

They were saying, complaining infact
Sitting round a sharpened table, teeth bared, holding hands
Crossed out on a page, “unity and brotherhood”
Right above the words “activism”
Underlined and bold

Their glassy eyes decide
Judge from the sidelines
Unwilling to participate yet so eager to debase
Fear of death is fleeting, we are all but becoming numb
A wave of art to wash away, the corporations sticky scum

That clings to you like brand new clothes,
Stylishly perforated to make them cool
Falling slowly your grey toy soliders
With painted face, your colours run, the question is
Can we take it anymore?

In the aftermath, the vicar and the businessman
Sit around an ornate table
DINING ON FOIE GRAS
Laughing to themselves they say
“Wasn't this easy? We didn't have to lift a finger”
“This war was lost, at home”
